this show was a last second decision that was sparked by my chiropractor's avid dead history and how every week while getting adjusted, we talk about the dead. i slowly read between the lines of everything he says and i just hear his younger days screaming. he doesnt need to say what he did, i just know. naming off full show dates, cities, summer tours, its so amazing to hear a story so similar to mine with the love of live music being the backbone of it all. i had plans to catch martyn @ cielo in nyc. but i last minute bought tickets and went to pa. set 2 was a gift from the omnipotent. i asked/called in the car ride bertha, eyes of the world, and reuban & cherise

FACT mixes

here is a selection of some of my favorite FACT mixes as of recent. hopefully these artists (or some at least) are new to you. each mix is completely different from the next, from genre, bpm, etc. if you are not familiar with FACT magazine well get with it, and check them out. it was it one of the best online magazines out there for all your EDM needs.

fabric 51 mixed by DJ T

Get Physical boss DJ T., AKA Thomas Koch, has compiled Fabric 51, due for release next month.

Koch has been heavily involved in house and techno for over 20 years, founding Groove Magazine in 1989 and Get Physical in 2002, but he says the offer to mix a Fabric compilation couldn't have come at a better time. Having just finished a highly successful tour in support of his album The Inner Jukebox, Koch was feeling more inspired by music than ever, and managed to channel this feeling into his mix.

As a result, Fabric 51 will focus on trippy, off-kilter selections by the likes of dOP, Soulphiction and Matias Aguayo. Koch explains, "While I usually mix from a more 'functional' DJ perspective, this mix is the product of my current super-positive emotional state and definitely not your average dance floor fodder—at least half of these tracks would never find their way into my DJ bag. Aesthetically speaking, it is more of a shimmering, sparkling disco funk concoction, a nod to the old school, but also 100 per cent in the here and now!"
